The Pichette Project is Blue Jay Gold's flagship asset, located approximately 25 kilometres east of Beardmore, Ontario, in the heart of the Beardmore-Geraldton Greenstone Belt (BGGB). This prolific gold district is renowned for hosting multi-million-ounce gold deposits and is home to the recently producing Greenstone Gold Mine, operated by Equinox Gold. The strategic location offers exceptional infrastructure advantages, including proximity to TransCanada Highway 11, local power grids, and a well-established mining workforce.
Geologically, the Pichette Project is centred on a classic orogenic gold system associated with Banded Iron Formations (BIF). These geological settings are known for their potential to host high-grade gold mineralization. Historical exploration work, dating back to the 1950s, identified significant gold-bearing zones within these formations. However, much of the property remains underexplored, particularly at depth and along strike, representing a significant opportunity for discovery.
Recent exploration work conducted in the Fall of 2024 included surface bedrock sampling and advanced drone magnetic and LiDAR surveys. These modern techniques have refined the geological model, highlighting more than 12 kilometres of prospective BIF trends that remain untested by modern drilling. Surface channel sampling returned exceptional gold grades, including 70.9 g/t Au, 54.4 g/t Au, and 49.2 g/t Au over narrow 0.5-metre intervals, confirming the presence of high-grade gold mineralization in structurally controlled settings.
